I chose this quote because it fits the story perfectly. This quote is at the beginning of the story saying that he knows the river really well. At the end he still knows the river well just in a different way. This way is not for the better because he learns all the dangerous parts about it. 3.) I chose this picture because it would be contradictory, with weapons and a bible. The bible and violence are opposites, but so are the two sides of the prayer. 6.) Learned that the problem was for the people that were originally against the war. #3 An Episode of War by Stephen Crane 1.) And this is the story of how the Lieutenant lost his arm. 2.) This quote is perfect to describe the story. The reason it is perfect to describe the story is that it sums it up in one sentence. The story was about how the soldier had to make it to the army hospital before it got infected. He only ended up losing his arm. When he went home he was just happy to be alive. This makes people think that things can always be worse. 3.)
